2022 Ferdinand Folk Festival Artists:

After a 5 year hiatus, The original trio has reunited to produce new music with a revitalized appreciation for camaraderie and creativity. Now living in three different cities across the US, these three independently talented singer-songwriters bring together the sounds of Nashville TN, Minneapolis MN, & Bozeman MT to create Front Porch Americana soundscapes that are equally original as they are timeless. Drawing influence from their salt of the earth Midwest ethos the band’s songs so naturally blend the genres of Folk, Old Time String-Band and Indie Rock to create a sound that echoes the current heartbeat of America.  Read More

Taylor Kingman makes music that resets the clocks. You know the feeling of standing beneath a trestle on a hard day, a can of cheap beer, flicking a lighter and dreaming up wild ideas until a heavy train comes thundering overhead and you scream and scream until your voice gives out and you feel lighter? That’s the thing that lives deep in Taylor’s songs. There’s something so rubbed-raw honest and drunken-truth about them. You can’t help but be transfixed and transformed. Read More

MIKRON_2_edited.jpg

MIKRON is a musical partnership born more than 15 years ago between two Southern Indiana guitar pickers, Ronnie Schultz and Michael Cummings.

Having delighted listeners of all ages at venues both small and large with acoustic renditions of your favorites spanning many decades and musical genres, MIKRON continues to expand and refine their repertoire. From The Beatles and The Rolling Stones, to Kid Rock and George Jones, their mission is simple: to highlight and share the music they love with people that love it too.

Both Schultz and Cummings have roots in the legendary Birdseye music community. Schultz has been performing as a guitarist and singer since the 1970s, occasionally joining forces with notable performers and bands over the years. Cummings, a child of the 90's, began performing with Schultz in 2007 after several successful collaborations at the old Backbilly Farms Hootenanny.

The duo headlined the 5-piece band The High Road from 2010-2018. Schultz now resides in Eckerty, IN, while Cummings is a resident of Ferdinand.
